The Dance Factory is located on El Paso’s west side, at 1035 Belvidere, #370. (915-584-4755). Established in 1983 under the ownership and artistic direction of Rita Job Schaeffer, The Dance Factory has taught hundreds of students in its 25 years, from ages 3 to 73! Classes, at various levels, are offered in ballet, jazz, tap, clog, lyrical, hip hop, creative movement, mommy and me, and flamenco. There is also a Jr and Sr company class in which students are placed by audition.
Tuition is based on 8 week sessions of which there are four in the school year, from September to May. Every year we hold our annual dance recital which will take place this year on May 9, 2009, commemorating our 25th Anniversary! The Dance Factory has kicked off our 25th Anniversary with a bang! Some of our students will be performing at SPOOKTACULAR, sponsored by the Junior Women’s Club of El Paso, on Oct. 25 & 26, at the El Paso Convention Center. On Nov. 7, our younger students will be dancing at Santa’s Breakfast, part of the Jr League’s Christmas Fair! Then, on Nov. 21 – 23, our Jr and Sr Company students and teachers will be attending the CO Dance convention in Phoenix AZ. We’re also working on a holiday performance featuring all The Dance Factory students sometime in December!
